MCCRADYS’ RESTAURANT IN DOWNTOWN CHARLESTON OFFERSTWO FESTIVE EVENTS FOR RINGING IN 2006 IN STYLE

CHARLESTON, SC—December 6, 2005—McCrady’s restaurant at 2 Unity Alley in downtown Charleston is always a great place for celebrating, but never more so than during the holiday season. McCrady’s offers two different and distinct options for New Year’s Eve 2005. An extravagant four course, prix-fixe dinner, which includes a pre-dessert and Amuse, will take place in the main dining room. Dinner guests receive party favors just before midnight to ring in the New Year in style. Tickets for the dinner are $95 per person, excluding tax, alcohol and gratuity.

Devotees of a great party can attend the 2006 McCrady’s Space Odyssey, an alien-themed costume party, which will take place in the restaurant’s historic Long Room. The party theme is inspired by Bonny Doon Vineyard in Santa Cruz, CA, and its leader, Randall Grahm, an incredibly imaginative, slightly crazy wine maker who has a fascination with aliens, UFOs and space. The alien theme runs deep at Boony Doon and is present in everything from the newsletter to certain wine labels, including Le Cigare Volant, which is French for “the flying saucer.”

Festive silver and black decorations, an open bar featuring themed drinks, out-of-this-world hors d’oeuvres prepared by Chef de Cuisine Steven Musolf, spinning by DJ Belk and a big champagne toast as the ball drops at midnight are some of the things guests can enjoy. A spacey costume contest will take place before midnight and will feature the following prizes:

• 1st Place: $500 Cash
• 2nd Place: Dinner for Two at McCrady’s
• 3rd Place: McCrady’s Signature Wine Gift Basket

The 2006 McCrady’s Space Odyssey costume ball begins at 9 p.m. and will last until 2 a.m. Tickets are $100 (all inclusive), and guests having dinner at McCrady’s downstairs can join the festivities for $55. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 843.577.0025, ext. 1
