A native of Richmond, Virginia, Winburn Carmack got her first taste for cooking through an internship at The Complete Gourmet while still in high school. She began her formal culinary career at Johnson & Wales University in Charleston. She joined McCrady’s while still in school and has been here since.
She was appointed as McCrady’s Executive Pastry Chef in 2006. She has been actively involved in Charleston area charity events, including Habitat for Humanity’s Gingerbread Contest at The Sanctuary, Rescue Resource Foundation’s “Gourmutt Dogbowl” and the Darkness to Light gala in Charleston’s Marion Square.
